Dressing for Success: Embracing Our School Uniform Policy

Orchard Knob Elementary's uniform policy emphasizes the importance of attire in promoting unity, pride, and a focused learning environment. Students are required to wear solid-colored collared shirts and may choose from khaki, navy, gray, or black pants, skirts, or jumpers, with specific guidelines against jeggings, leggings, and certain casual pants. Outerwear should be solid-color sweaters or sweatshirts, but hoodies must be removed upon entering the classroom. Shoes must be closed-toe and secure, with restrictions on slides, sandals, and similar footwear. The policy aims to create a respectful, organized, and safe environment, helping students thrive academically and socially. The school appreciates the cooperation of students and families in adhering to the dress code, which is seen as a key element in fostering a positive school atmosphere.

Get Ready for the New School Year: Student Registration Event!

Orchard Knob Elementary is excited to welcome both returning and new students to Hamilton County Schools and is hosting a Student Registration Event on August 5, 2024, with sessions from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Returning students need to complete the PowerSchool online registration and upload two recent proofs of residency. New students are required to bring Tennessee Immunization Records, a birth certificate, two proofs of residency, and a valid parent/guardian ID for registration. The event is an opportunity for all students and families to prepare for the upcoming school year, with the school office available for any questions or assistance.
