Register for the 2026–27 School Year at OKE on August 3
Orchard Knob Elementary will welcome families for an in-person student registration event on Monday, August 3, 2026. Families may visit from 9:00–11:00 AM or from 3:00–5:00 PM.
Whether your child is returning to Hamilton County Schools or enrolling as a new student, preparing the required documents before your visit can help the registration process go more smoothly.
Know Which Registration Process to Use
Hamilton County Schools uses separate registration processes for returning students and students who are new to the district.
Returning Students
Families of current HCS students should complete returning student registration and provide two proofs of residency plus any updated immunization records.
New Students
Families enrolling a student who is new to HCS should complete new student registration and bring the required residency, identification, health, and birth documents.
Choose Either Session
Visit Orchard Knob Elementary during the morning or afternoon registration window. Choose the session that works best for your family.

OKE staff will be available to support families during two registration sessions. Please bring the documents that apply to your student and attend at the time that is most convenient for you.
3:00–5:00 PM Attend the morning or afternoon session.
Documents Families Should Prepare
Returning families should provide two proofs of residency and any updated immunization records. Families enrolling a new student should prepare the full set of documents below.
- Two proofs of residence. Accepted examples include a mortgage, lease, or deed; a dated electric, water, gas, or cable bill; agency or court documentation showing an address; an insurance statement; a current bank statement; or an employment check stub showing an address.
- Parent or guardian identification. Bring a driver’s license or state-issued identification.
- Current Tennessee Immunization Certificate. The certificate must be up to date.
- Proof of a physical. The physical must have been completed within the past 12 months and documented on a Tennessee medical form.
- Student birth certificate. Hamilton County Schools lists this document as preferred for new student registration.
