Subjects Taught
3rd Grade , 4th Grade , 5th Grade

I graduated from Athens State College in 1998 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I have taken many classes in Educational Leadership at University of Alaska, Anchorage and am currently working to complete my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

I have had the great opportunity to teach in several different school settings. My first 6 years I taught grades 4 and 6 for 6 years in Lawrence County, TN. Then, I decided to broaden my horizon and accepted a teaching job in a rural village in Alaska.  While teaching in Alaska I had the opportunity to teach in an Eskimo village in Western Alaska and an Athabascan village immensely close to the Arctic Circle.  I have a total of 17 years teaching experience. Last year I taught a half year at OKES in 5th grade. This year I am thrilled to be teaching third grade math and science with an awesome team at Orchard Knob Elementary School!

Hi, I am Ms. Neese. I am one of the 5 third grade teachers at OKES for the 2016-2017 school year. I am not originally from Chattanooga, but I love living here! For most of my childhood I lived in a small town in TN named Iron City. I came from a large family in which I am the youngest of 8 children. I have 3 daughters Candice, Beth and Josie, 3 son-in-laws and 7 wonderful grandchildren! I adore and love spending time with my family very much! It is the best hobby ever!

I am ecstatic about teaching math and science to the 3rd grade students at OKES. I believe through education, hard work and perseverance any goal can be accomplished. I am passionate about education and believe it is the pathway to success!
